Weapons Of Wisdom

James 5:16-17 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you
may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  NKJV
This week I want to expand the perimeter of building relationships through prayer.  When we
have begun to spend time with the Lord and watch and pray with Him we will have the
confidence to become all of who He made us to be.  However sometimes we are going to need
the power of agreement to begin to possess the inheritance that has already been given in
Christ!   The above scripture tells us to confess our faults to one another and pray for one
another that we may be healed!   One of the things that can keep us from the breakthrough that
we need is the guilt and or shame that can weigh us down because of trespasses and sin.  If you
heed help in an area of temptation, there is a key principle found right in this scripture.  Confess
your trespasses to one another and then pray.  This is going to require humbling yourself and
becoming vulnerable.   This is where people have a tendency to slam on the brakes and avoid
this principle as if it were the worst thing you could possibly do!   One of the main reason may
from past experiences and betrayal in relationships.   It also may be a direct effect of the wounds
inflicted by a critical or religious spirit.   This may be a giant of fear that we will have to run at!
After all the solution to be healed of all of these wounds is being able to trust again!  Think about
this way; by confessing your faults and or trespasses to one another, wouldn’t this be the first
step in the healing process?  And wouldn’t the second step  of the healing process be to pray
about it with someone!   The promise here is to be healed!    Can you see here that relationships
can be built and strengthened through the power of agreement and prayer?
James 5:13-15  Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing
psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them
pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save
the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
