“Our New Flight Plan 2”
Matt 26:40-41 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to
Peter, "What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you
enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." NKJV
Last week I talked about developing the prayer habit. This is the key element in
knowing what our New Flight Plan is. Without spending time with him, it will be
impossible to know what destination is. We have got to know where were going
so we can make plans accordingly. Also I want to interject a new insight into
prayer. The Lord began to reveal to me how relationships are built through prayer.
It starts with our relationship with spending time with the Lord and hearing His
voice his thoughts and being able to know and discern His voice, as well as His
plans and directions. Then we build relationships with each other by praying
together. This will bring about a unity that will be unprecedented. As we unify with
the Lord by becoming intimate, we will rely the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us
when it comes to praying for one another. Imagine not using prayer formulas, but
being able to capture the Lords heart in a matter and speaking forth into one
another’s life the word of the Lord. When the Lord speaks something, it is going
to come to pass! In the scripture above, the Lord comes and finds his disciples
sleeping. This is by definition prayerlessness. He says to them in surprise and
says very strongly: “What! Could you not watch with me one hour?.....Watch and
pray lest you enter into temptation. Here is a secret revealed in regards to
overcoming temptation! If we watch and pray with Him at least for one hour we
would have the strength to overcome temptation! What a tremendous blessing to
have this revealed. The Holy Spirit in you is willing to reveal whatever strategies
necessary to be truly effective in praying for one another’s situations. Our prayer
strategies will become effective because we have been in His presence. We will
hear His voice and a new found confidence will begin to take hold in each of us. A
sense of teamwork will begin to transform each of us. Relationships are first built
personaly with Him and then relationships are built with each other as we begin to
pray for one another. Began to develop your relationship with Him this week!
