Weapons Of Wisdom

    “Only Believe!”

Luke 8:49-51 9 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the
synagogue's house, saying to him, "Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher."
50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, "Do not be afraid; only believe, and
she will be made well."  NKJV
I want to talk about believing this week.  I’ve come to realize just how easy it is to rely on
what we see in the natural as final assessment of a situation.  Let me say to you, we are
supernatural beings that have eyes to see and ears to hear way beyond our natural
circumstances.   In the passage of scripture above, notice how easy we can think there is
no hope in a situation because it moved from the state of critical to death.  When the
situation in the natural became death, their assessment became “ Don’t trouble the master
anymore, your daughter is dead.”   What did Jesus say?  “Do not be afraid; only believe,
and she shall be made well.”  No matter what your situation is, this is practical wisdom to
move from the natural to the supernatural.  1.  Deal with the fear.  We have not been given a
spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.  (II Tim 1:7)  Do not be afraid!  Perfect
love cast out fear.  God loves you and is with you to perform acts of love.  He is no
respecter of persons.  His power will flow through you!  2.  Only believe!  We need to make a
choice to believe Gods word over anything else.  This is the true definition of faith.  Faith
comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  He is asking us to “Only Believe.”  3.
Get the picture of the end result in your mind.  “She will be made well!”   Now remember in
the natural they had assessed she was dead.  But Jesus was seeing the end result of the
supernatural, which is life!  She shall be made well!   This is where the rubber meets the
road.  We have not been called to naturally asses , but to only believe!  Believe what?   His
word!   We know that Jesus has accomplished everything necessary to overcome
sickness, disease, hell, death and the grave!    We have so much more available to us!  Do
not choose to stay on a lower level where death rules and reigns.  Come up higher where
you can see the possible!  Faith is vision and carries with it mountain moving authority!
