“Moving Towards Destiny Part 2

2 Cor 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the
flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for
pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into
captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all
disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. NKJV
Last week I talked about Hope and purpose. If you know what your called to
do and you know what your purpose is, you will have hope. God wants you
know your purpose. Once you find out what your called to do, the enemy
will oppose you and try to keep you from it. I left off last week talking about
the enemy using “how you think” against you. Proverbs 23:7 As a man
thinks within himself, so is he. Once God reveals what your real purpose is,
the enemy will try to convince you that the revelation you have been given is
not true. One of the primary ways he does this is through a low self image.
Let me give you an example that is found in all four of the Gospels’ and is
part of all of our purpose and destiny! We are all told to go and preach the
Gospel, and to teach and to disciple. Now let’s break this down. 1. Preach:
This means to proclaim or to herald as a public crier the good news. Now we
are all called to do this! This is going to involve public speaking. The enemy
must of known this about me, long before I was a Christian, because in High
School, I would be literally frozen with fear every time I would have to talk in
front of people. The strategy that God has given us to overcome, in this
area, is to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. I’ve learned
over the years not to think too much about public speaking, but to just take
the step of obedience and know that God will meet me there and say through
me what needs to be said. This is also the same method that I use
concerning the prophetic. I take the step of obedience and trust that the
rivers of living water will come gushing out when I open my mouth!
